Cell phone ban in grade school classrooms proposed by New Jersey governor

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has proposed a statewide ban on smartphones in K-12 classrooms during his final State of the State address Tuesday afternoon. More than 600 New Jersey School districts would be required to introduce policies to ban devices, but they would also be able to determine how the policies are implemented and enforced.
